For the past few months we've had this joke around my house. "The Gray Box."
What is "The Gray Box" you ask? Well, for me, it's the Macbook I'm typing on right now. For you it's probably a little screen you're holding in your hand. These devices, they're a fact of life. But in some ways they keep us away from living.
The last few days I've taken some time for living, in real life. I've spent a day with a dear friend who in a few weeks will be saying the most important vows of her life. I've gardened. I've had ice cream with friends and had a yoga session out in the sun. I'm a lucky girl.
So, if you can, take some time away from whatever gray box you're looking at right now and go out into the sunshine. Or the snow. Just have a moment of real life without the gray box. When you're ready to come back, I'd love to hear what you discovered.

Very true. Being out with actual real people and not seeing them on TV or in a book makes a huge difference.

Doesn't it? We spend so much time on these gray boxes, it's amazing what a little face time can do. Thanks for stopping by!
