United Streets of Art

Apr 24, 2015

You know those carts at outdoor malls? The ones where people shout at you about the newest skin care miracle, or walk out in front of you to push a hair curler? Yeah, I hate those.

But I found one that's different. This one started on Etsy, had success, and decided to branch out. They knew their target customer but couldn't afford the high rent at the space they wanted, so they did the next best thing. They got a cart. At the Grove.

This, friends, is United Streets of Art.

United Streets of Art makes unique, well crafted leather and canvas goods. Some of their best sellers are wallets, belts and cell phone covers. They're unexpectedly well made, especially considering the quality I'm used to from a mall cart.

But of course, we're really just interested in the bags! They have messenger bags, totes, and a couple of other smaller styles. Here are a few:

If you want to pick up one of these bags in person, head over to The Grove in mid-city Los Angeles. If you don't live in the city of angels, you can grab one at the United Streets of Art Etsy Store. If you do pick one up I'd love to see it, please tag me in your instas!

  2. its like a pop up shop! I love it!

    1. That's exactly right! Kind of a great idea really, in our world of fast fashion they're nimble enough to bring new products to market ahead of the trend, rather than waiting to stock a full store. Thanks for coming by Pam!
