Hello Monday: Manolo Blahnik, Models Overcoming Cancer, Drybar, and Pop Fashion

Aug 3, 2015

The sad thing about Mondays is that we have to say goodbye to the weekend. At least we get to start to a bright and shiny new week! Let's dig in with a roundup of important happenings last week including Harper's Bazaar, Manolo Blahnik, Drybar, and a few jobs in fashion.

Pop Fashion gets a shoutout from Harper's Bazaar
You may know of my undying love for Pop Fashion, a podcast by Kaarin Vembar and Lisa Rowe about fashion and real life. OMG it's so good. So I was on cloud nine when I heard that Pop Fashion was listed as in Harper Bazaar's top 10 fashion podcasts. Not just on the list, they were #2! Higher than Chanel. Chanel. This is big time people. If you haven't started listening to them yet you haven't lived. Find out more about Pop Fashion or just get that IV straight into your system through iTunes.

Sex and the City taught me everything I needed to know about life. Now, Carrie's beloved Manolo Blahnik is taking their famous heels to new heights - as handbags.

The truly extraordinary model Elizaveta Bulokhova is utterly beautiful post cancer treatment - a treatment where she lost part of her jaw and nearly lost her unborn son. These photos will stun you.

Jobs in fashion
Rachel Roy is hiring a retail coordinator here in sunny SoCal. Or if you're open to relocating, Harper's Bazaar is hiring in Dubai. And there are rumors that Alexander Wang and Balenciaga may be calling it quits... Creative Director, anyone?
