What I learned from an online hibernation

I took the unexpected opportunity for an online hibernation. Being constantly plugged in is a bit like being underwater - you can hear and see things above the surface, but they're muffled and warped. Going into hibernation allowed me to take a big breath of fresh air.

What did I learn? I learned that sunshine is important. I learned that being honest and authentic is more important than looking like you have it all together. I learned to recognize the things I like and to articulate the things I don't. I learned that friends and family are the most wonderful part of life.

Sometimes you get the opportunity to take stock. When that opportunity comes for you, I encourage you to take it.
